Job responsibilities include:

  • One of the major responsibilities is to offer new design requirements to the existing project.

  • Gathers and follows architectural/design best practices from vendors, peers, and past experiences.

  • Enthusiastic in providing and creating innovative network security solutions.

  • Collaborates with enterprise architecture, application engineers, infrastructure engineers, and IT Security to deliver shared outcomes.

  • Work with different vendors like Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto network solution companies to be on top of new solutions available and trending in the market.

 

Roles:

  • Evaluates and designs networks, including; local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless, campus, datacenter, cloud, multi-site, internet, intranets, and other data communications systems.

  • Work as a Subject Matter Expert for the development of IT networking, presenting networking topics and solutions to clients, partners, Insight teammates and communications supporting all hazards requirements.

  • Develop and give support to networking services pipeline for a defined territory.

  • Review technical networks and approval for networking proposals and statements of work.

  • Brings thought leadership around recent trends, including; network security, NGFW (Next Generation firewalls), automation, SDN, NFV, Micro-segmentation, AWS and Azure Cloud, composable infrastructure, etc.

  • Involve in development and support of repeatable packaged offerings, including tools for pre-sales and delivery.

  • Collaborates with Marketing to develop and launch new offerings.

  • Supports Practice Leader for building of technical development plans. Defines and manages practice-specific delivery methodology, templates and tools.

  • Involved in each migration projects within the practice. Interacting with other Consulting Services teammates to make sure improve our delivery methodology and share best practices and lessons learned.

Qualifications required:

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or closely related field.

  • Experience in architecting and engineering with enterprise onprem networking and cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, VMWare and OpenStack (one or more clouds)

  • Strong technical skills to communicate with clients, partners and sales that includes multi-tasking.

  • Define the scope and price for network solutions. Drafting proposals, request for proposal responses and statements.

  • Brings thought leadership around recent trends, including; network security, NGFW, automation, SDN, NFV, Micro-segmentation, AIOps, Hybrid Cloud, composable infrastructure, etc.

  • Creating architecture design and implementation for Cisco Infrastructure solutions.

  • Good idea about Cisco wireless solutions and Identity Services Engine (ISE).

  • Capable of implementing high available and multi-level secured infrastructure network solutions.

  • Layer2/Layer3 boundaries

  • Extensive multi-vendor knowledge: Routing/Switching (7600s, ASRs, Viking) Nexus, SD Cloud, Firewalls like Cisco ASA 5k, 6k and Firepower-7k, 8k , Juniper SRX 4k, 5k and Palo Alto NGFW.

  • Understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, client/server designs, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and Switching protocols.

  • Understanding of LAN technologies, WAN technologies, Internet, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, VPNs, NAT, IP telephony

  • Must have knowledge of network security and Must have extensive knowledge of network connectivity i.e. TCP/IP.

  • CCNA and Palo Alto certifications mandatory.

  • CCIE written certificate or related experience required.
